A major upgrade is coming to the Salesforce certification landscape. Beginning July 21, 2025, all Salesforce and Tableau certifications will be unified under a streamlined, personalized experience in Trailhead Academy. Whether you’re a Trailblazer, Tableau expert, or exploring certifications for the first time, this shift promises a more convenient and connected way to manage your credentials.
What is Changing?
Salesforce is bringing all its certifications—including MuleSoft, Slack, Accredited Professional, and Tableau—into one centralized platform. This means you’ll now find exam details, registration options, and certification history in a single place. Say goodbye to toggling between multiple portals!
Moreover, the new certification hub offers a 360-degree view of your credentials, including personalized exam recommendations based on your certification history and learning activity.
You will also have access to a full catalog of available classes and certifications, which you can filter and sort by role, product, or skill to find exactly what you’re looking for.
When you click on a certification exam that interests you, you will be taken to a dedicated exam detail page. There, you’ll find everything from exam content and pricing to languages offered, required experience level, and any prerequisites, helping you decide if it is the right fit before you register.
Important Dates to Remember
Salesforce Certifications:
- June 30, 2025: Last day to register for Salesforce exams via Webassessor.
- July 13, 2025: Last day to take your Salesforce exam in Webassessor.
- July 21, 2025: New Salesforce Certification Experience launches in Trailhead Academy.
Tableau Certifications:
- June 30, 2025: Last day to register for Tableau exams.
- July 6, 2025: Last day to complete your Tableau exam in Pearson VUE.
- July 21, 2025: New certification experience and registration launches in Trailhead Academy.
Why This Matters?
Currently, certification information is spread across multiple platforms. By consolidating this into Trailhead Academy, Salesforce makes it easier to:
- Track your progress
- Prepare for exams
- Register and manage your schedule
Additionally, all exams will now be administered through Pearson VUE, a platform optimized for a smoother, more intuitive test-taking experience.
What You Need to Do
- Ensure your Trailblazer profile uses the same email linked to your Webassessor or Tableau certification account. This guarantees a seamless transfer of your certification data.
- If you’ve scheduled a Salesforce or Tableau exam beyond the cutoff dates (July 13 for Salesforce, July 6 for Tableau), you’ll need to reschedule or wait for the new system to open on July 21.
- Have unused or non-expired voucher codes? You can use them in the new platform, as long as they remain valid past July 21. However, expired codes won’t carry over.
